Opportunity: We Are Looking for an Editor of Creative Nonfiction

carte blanche, the online magazine of the Quebec Writers’ Federation, is accepting applications for the position of creative nonfiction editor. This is a volunteer position but pays a modest honorarium. Ideally, the successful candidate should reside in or near Montreal.

The creative nonfiction editor will be responsible for reviewing relevant submissions and making selections for the three issues that we publish online every year. She will also be expected to collaborate with successful contributors to edit their work. She will coordinate on an annual basis the Creative Nonfiction Prize, sponsored by University of King’s College and the Creative Nonfiction Collective Society (CNFC). The successful applicant should also be ready to help promote carte blanche at our public events and through social media, and to keep a keen eye out for talented emerging and established writers whose work would be a good fit for our magazine.

All interested applicants should send a cv and a letter of intent to Laurence Miall, Editor: editors@carte-blanche.org. We are grateful for the time you take in submitting your candidacy.
