Sami Alwani is a cartoonist and illustrator based in Toronto. His
work has appeared in the anthology Best American Comics, on Vice and in Broken Pencil Magazine. He also received a Doug Wright Award in 2017 honouring the year's best Canadian comics for his story “The Dead Father.” Alwani graduated from the Maryland Institute College of Art in 2015.
