Poetry

everything was worth it

remember the good times
we had during the apocalypse?

the excitement of watching
continents flood and starve?

remember the second
coming of the dinosaurs?

or that species of
genetically modified

peacocks, the ones with tails
made out of sunsets?

ah, the radiance of rapture
the vile poultice of ozone

the magnificent stench
of a suffocating orb
