In Plain Sight

Ignored, neglected, or viewed as simply utilitarian by most, the inanimate objects that litter the contemporary landscape reveal more about ourselves than we’d care to admit. I am fascinated by the urbanscapes we pass through everyday, with hardly a thought. Whether left to decay, or recently built, these objects hidden in plain sight tell a story.

Montreal photographer Marc Muri left a career in finance, took an old Olympus camera to Montana, and returned home a few months later to start a new career. He scours the cities he visits on his travels, never ceasing to be amazed by how brick, concrete, and steel can define a landscape.
