2021 carte blanche prize shortlist!

After much deliberation on the outstanding longlist, we are thrilled to announce the 2021 carte blanche prize finalists, as selected by juror, Gillian Sze.

The shortlisted writers are Helen Chau Bradley (Fiction), Noa Padawer-Blatt (Fiction), and M-X Marin (CNF)!

The carte blanche Prize is awarded once a year in recognition of an outstanding submission by a Quebec-based writer or translator.

The three finalists will be invited to attend the QWF Awards Gala on November 24, 2021, where the winner and runner-ups will be announced. Finalists will all receive cash prizes, and the winner will receive a unique trophy “The Lori” created by Montreal artist Glen LeMesurier.
